I’m JD Stone, an Executive Creative Director, with over 20 years of experience, I blend cultural anthropology, visual design, and user-centric experiences to craft compelling brand identities, experiences, and marketing strategies. I've led creative initiatives for diverse organizations including the Los Angeles Department of Public Health, California Dept. of Managed Health Care, the Los Angeles City Legacy Business Program, Google, NASA, Virtual Clinical Trials, and various consumer brands. My expertise spans illustration, product development, creative direction, branding, and marketing, all aimed at driving engagement and growth for businesses.

My philosophy is that good design should be for everyone. I thrive on creating approachable, ADA-compliant designs that highlight representation and inclusivity across all ranges of diversity.  I am passionate about collaborative problem-solving, igniting inspiration, and empowering my team with a crystal-clear vision to ensure we deliver top-quality work. Continuous improvement and pushing boundaries are key to my process, driving pride and high-quality results.

My work spans pioneering virtual clinical trials with Science 37 and Medidata, contributing to impactful public health campaigns, and collaborating with global tech leaders. AWARENESS CAMPAIGN

Award winning campaigns for the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, using playful illustrations and animations to spread awareness and encourage at-risk individuals to get a 2-dose vaccination.

COVID-19 VACCINE
AWARENESS CAMPAIGN

Multi-year, multi-campaign development with the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, using engaging visuals and messaging to promote safety, vaccination, and public awareness. This included initiatives like ‘Rediscover Los Angeles,’ ‘I’m Vaccinated Because,’ ‘Know the Facts,’ ‘Everyday Safe,’ and a partnership with the 2022 Super Bowl.

I developed the branding, marketing plan, and assets for the City of Los Angeles’ Legacy Business Program, which supports long-standing small businesses. This included a brand style guide, promotional materials, and a community partner toolkit, all aimed at uplifting businesses operating for over 20 years.

As Art Director at Science 37, I led the creation and of a contemporary brand identity and oversaw all corporate marketing materials as the company expanded from a small start up team to over 250 employees nationwide.
